DEREK PRINCE DIES - JUST DAYS AFTER HAGIN

World-renowned Bible teacher and author Derek Prince has
just died on Sept 23 in Jerusalem aged 88 years. Derek Prince 
was one of the most prominent leaders of the Charismatic
movement and his teaching and radio ministry spanned 
half the globe. 

This wonderful man of God died in his sleep of heart-failure 
following a long period of declining health.

Prince wrote more than 45 books, including 'Shaping the 
World Through Prayer and Fasting'. He was a real father of 
the faith to an entire generation. A true giant has passed
away. The Christian world will not be quite the same without 
him.

Meanwhile, just days before, another world-renowned speaker, 
author and prophet, Kenneth E. Hagin, died after nearly 
70 years of ministry.
 
He passed away on September 19 aged 86 years. 
 
God had miraculously healed Hagin of a deformed heart and an
incurable blood disease at the age of 17, and he was raised 
from a deathbed in 1934 by the revelation of faith in God's 
Word. 
 
Known as the "father of the modern faith movement," Hagin 
operated as a prophet a great deal in his earlier years, later
becoming more well-known as a healing teacher and 
preacher - with a particular emphasis on Faith.

Whatever your feelings about his Faith message, there can
be no denying that Kenneth Hagin was a giant figure in the
modern church, with massive impact around the world.

It surely has to be significant that two of these giant leaders
of the Charismatic generation have passed away within just
a few days of one another? These were two of the most
prominent Christian leaders of the past half-century. The 
church will certainly not be the same without them.
