As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord ´
“Igniting soul’s through the proclamation of Jesus Christ”.
Exodus 34;14 says, "For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:" He demands, no, He Deserves our worship, our adoration, our devotion, our sacrifice. There is no other god in all the universe who can compare to the Most High God. Do you have other "gods" in your life? Are you sharing your affection with another? Are your eyes fixed on the God of the Bible, or are your eyes wandering? Be careful my friend, some Brethren brought to my attention some years back, “our God Is a jealous God.”
Focus Scripture today: "Look unto Me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else." (Isaiah 45:22)
According to our focus verse, no other god can save you, not television, families, church, physical feel-good feelings, material goods, financial security, success, and the list goes on and on. But we serve a jealous God, there is no other way for us to be Saved! The Lord is calling His Church to a higher level of commitment to Him. We can no longer afford to be part-time Christians, we either need to totally sell-out or we won't be able to stand.
Let us Pray: “Father, help us to identify anything and everything that would divert our attention and focus away from You. We pray that You will revive us by the power of Your Word and the sanctifying power of Your Spirit. Forgive our sins, be merciful toward us, and bring renewal to our land. Father, we long to worship You in spirit and in truth, to be all that You called each of us to be. Lord, we cannot live another day without being in Your presence, teach us to come with a pure heart and pure conscience with our heart fixed on You and You alone. Dear Lord, as we begin each day, help us to remember to take some time to prepare ourself spiritually to meet the "world". Lord, we pray that You would use us to help those who don't know You to find their way to You through our lifestyle, our attitudes, our countenance. Show forth Your glory through each life and let it shine on all with whom we come in contact. Then we will know that we have taught transgressors Your ways and sinners will have been converted unto Thee. Father, may we each stand before You in total surrender, our gaze fixed, our heart settled, and thus we will look to no other, for You are our all in all. Father, thank You that the revelation given through Your apostles was not concocted by human minds. May we never turn to "another" gospel nor to a distortion of Your Gospel. May we never desert the grace of Christ and become accursed. And may we never seek the favor of men. We desire Your favor. We want to be Your servant, to please You and You alone. Grant that we may understand the revelation You gave through Paul, of salvation by grace through faith apart from works of law. In the complete turn-around in his life help us see the transforming power of Your Gospel. Thank You, Father, for the grace and peace that come through Your Son, Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins to deliver us from this evil age, according to Your will. To You be glory for ever and ever. In the Name of Jesus we pray. Amen.”
Take inventory of your life, where do your priorities lie? Are you nurturing a relationship with a "substitution" or with the Most High God? Be honest with yourself, it's not too late to change your focus. You'll never regret allowing the God who saves, the God from the Ends of the Earth, to be number one in your life.
“Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” (Exodus 20:3)
