                         As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord ´

This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.  Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else.  And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you.  Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift.

 

This is an activity for all to enjoy and learn in, write as well as read.  We call this "Tuesday Scripture", as you will clearly see why.  What we would like everyone to do is to post any verse or portion of the Word from your Bible.  Along with the portion of Scripture you may place thought, comment, or question.  The post does not need be long or short, can be one verse and simply said, "my favorite".  Please do share with us and leave the subject line, or write in “Tuesday Scripture”.  For the weekly addition of “Tuesday Scripture” and “Weekend Scripture Share”, I have been composing through the Spirit as I study, verse by verse, or portion by portion, from the Book of 2 Corinthians.  I am at the end of the Ninth Chapter in the Word.

 

2 Cor. 9:12-15, “For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God; Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men; And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you.  Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.”

 

God's grace revealed the source of life when I leaned about the work of Jesus the Christ, recognized Him as God's gift to me and entered under His authority by submitting my life to Him.  There was not much life left to give but what was left I gave.  Suddenly the working power of God's grace began to manifest itself in many practical ways.  God's grace began healing my mind, heart and character so that a woman would be able to stand being with me as my wife.  I was already married, He knew what He was doing when He placed her in my life.  God's grace and mercy led my earthly walk through much.  God's grace then gave me the discipline, fortitude and energy to work full time, buy another house and begin having a real family with great success, honor and praise.  Then God's indescribable grace saved my marriage, provided means to recover financial collapse, restored my life, and gave a new vision for service to Him.  Now God's grace in providing the seed for greater and greater benefit to others in an ever increasing way that has a life of its own and I can barely keep up with.

 

Paul describes the same "snow ball" effect of God's grace.  When the Corinthians fulfill their act of generosity the snowball effect of God's grace rolls with greater inertia.  The working of His magnificent grace actually provides seed in the form of gifts, makes good things happen and causes the power of the life to burst forth over and over again.  God's amazing indescribable gift of grace worked in a man's heart this week.  At this very moment today as you read this God's grace is working in you, providing a way through the situation and revealing God's gifts, love, power and life in an incredible indescribable way.  Use His grace and the gifts it is sending you to give generously so that in every way you will become rich.  Not just monetarily but rich in the health of your mind, the strength of your body, the success of your relationships and in Everything else.

 

Anyone who may be moved in the spirit to respond or blessed to participate please feel free to do so.  The point of these two weekly activities have been directed and set up by God to fellowship in the Word and learn from one another.  I am not a teacher, but a Brother in the Family of God and called to His fellowship.  I make mistakes and certainly may not see something in the same way as you, therefore always open to corrective criticism so long as it is spoken in the Spirit and conforms with the Bible which I believe to be the Living Word of God.
