              “Igniting soul’s through the proclamation of Jesus Christ”.

 

God is so rich in mercy, and He loved us so very much, that even while we were dead because of our sins, He gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead.  Only by God's special favor, you have been saved!  If you have surrendered to Him through Christ?  For He raised us from the dead along with Christ, and we are seated with Him in the heavenly realms, all because we are one with Christ Jesus.  So, in a sense, God can always point to us as examples of the incredible wealth of His favor and kindness toward us, as shown in all He has done for us through Christ Jesus. 



You know, there's a saying that many of you have probably heard, "once a thief, always a thief".  Or, maybe you’ve heard “once a liar, always a liar”, “once a junky, always a junky”.  Although the word "thief", “junky” or “liar” could be substituted for any variety of sins the statement is absolutely not true.  In fact, it actually doesn't matter what you've done, where you've been, who you are, if you're washed, sanctified, justified all in the Name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of God, then you are a new creation, old things are passed away, all things are become new.  There is no background excluded, there is no case too hard, there are no exceptions!  As a matter of fact, there are no “background checks” when you approach God with a repentant and sorrowful heart.  His washing, His sanctification, His justification are complete, total, and available to everyone regardless of who they are or what they’ve done.

 

Today’s Focus: "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?  Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.  And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the Name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God."  (1 Corinthians 6:9-11)


If you are plagued by your past sins, feeling less than "worthy" of God's love, then meditate on today's focus and allow it to become alive in your heart.  Grab hold of God's truth and allow it to change your life.  God will, and God did, save you by His special favor when you believe.  And you can't take credit for this, it is a gift from God.  Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.  For we are God's masterpiece.  He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.

 

Let us Pray: “We thank You Father, for the gathering of Your people, we thank You, that as Your anointed ones read the words of Your covenant, we thank You Father that all Will Hear Your words of the covenant, and will receive them in their hearts.  Father, thank You for the assurance in Your Word that we are free from the sin in our past and that we've become a new creature, washed, sanctified, justified and whole.  ‘Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me!  I once was lost, but now I'm found, was blind but now I see!’  Thank You, Lord, for Your Amazing Grace!  When we consider the Gift You gave through the life, death, and resurrection of Your Only Begotten Son, we cannot help but be overwhelmed with awe and praise for such a Great Gift.  Lord, help us to focus on the Truth this season, not on the running to and fro.  Father, teach us to be like Christ and keep our hearts in quiet obedience as we ponder the unfathomable love You have, a Saviour destined to die for all mankind’s sin.  Father God, thank You for the incredible blessings that You continue to rain down in our lives.  Even in the midst of trials and hardships, when all the world seems to be shaking around us, we know that You are our strength and the firm foundation beneath our feet.  Lord, as we hold onto You, may we spend each day living for Your glory.  We thank You Heavenly Father for this opportunity to pray with You, we thank You for this opportunity to guard our Heart with You, we thank You for this opportunity to guard our Soul with You, we thank You for this opportunity to take the shield of Faith, and Love others with You.  In the precious Name of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, we do pray.  And Amen.”

 

You've been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb of God!  You’ve been washed, justified, sanctified, and made whole.  You stand clean before Your God, not because of who you are or are not, not because of how good you’ve been or haven’t been, but because of the shed blood of the Spotless Lamb whose blood made atonement for you.  There’s no sin too great to escape God’s great mercy and love, and the cleansing power of the Blood.  Perhaps you’ve not really come to Christ, maybe you are not Truly Saved?  Won’t you come to Him today, let Him in your heart that you too may shout, Hallelujah, Praise the Lord!

 

“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.”  (2 Peter 3:18)
