"When You Dance With God, Let Him Lead" by Jill Austin Master Potter Ministries http://www.masterpotter.com info@... Bridal Garments of Humility Isaiah 62:4-5 - "You shall no longer be termed Forsaken, nor shall your land any more be termed Desolate; but you shall be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for the LORD delights in you, and your land shall be married . . . and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you." NKJV One of the greatest, most breath-taking moments in a wedding is watching the bride promenade down the aisle, wrapped in the most glorious of garments. Crowds hush and all eyes are affixed, for she has captured the room just by her appearance. Even today, Holy Spirit is training us in humility to rule and reign with Him as His Bride. If the Bride is to be equally yoked to the Bridegroom, she must wear the same wedding garments He wore. If Jesus, the King of Kings, chose a crown of thorns, how much more should we adorn ourselves in the beauty of meekness? If He forsook His divine robes of righteousness for earthly burlap robes, how much more should we wrap ourselves in a mantle of humility? Matching Your Heart With God's Heart At the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, each one of us will be wrapped in different garments, brilliantly embroidered with the fruits and rewards from our earthly lives. A stunning, colorful, tailor-made royal robe will be our portion. In the Lord's great wisdom, it's as though the outer garment that covered each person was a simple burlap robe -- a mantle of humility. Underneath that robe is the beautiful royal robe of our giftings. The Lord displays these at different times, but most of the time it is a secret testimony between you and the Lord. Walking in humility is a heart issue, a lifestyle, an attitude that is God-given. An impartation of humility is different than a decision of humility. You can't instantaneously grow humility in your heart. Rather, it is a journey of a lifetime of matching your heart with God's heart. Ask God to do whatever it takes to make you a pure reflection of His Son. Prayer: Lord, I give you permission to do whatever it takes to kill my pride. Help me to be the first one to run to the cross, humble out, and say "Yes" to you, Lord -- always. I need Your help to forgive and always put other people before me, even as You sacrificed everything for me. I want to cloak myself in a garment of humility so I am a Bride that matches her Husband. When You Dance With God, Let Him Lead I Corinthians 1:27 - "But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty." NKJV God does not like to be put under a microscope. Perfectionism, performance-driven, and program-oriented attitudes will hinder us from moving in the Holy Spirit! He is asking all of us to be flexible and to let Him be God. We offend Him by the little boxes we put Him in and by the different ways religion tries to control Him. We say "everything is done in decency and order," but, Beloved, there is something greater than our human logical order: He has divine order. Divine order was for His Son, Jesus, to spit on the ground, make clay with His saliva, and spread it on a man's eyes so that he would be healed. That doesn't sound too orderly! Are you willing to move in His divine order and not be so logical and fenced in by formulas that you miss the move of Holy Spirit altogether? Entering the School of the Holy Spirit Guess what? God is God, and we are not! So, let Him be God. Often God will move in ways that offend your mind because He wants to test our heart. I feel like the Lord is asking us, "Are you really willing to follow Me, even if you don't always understand my rhymes and reasons? Are you really willing to make mistakes and be in The School of the Holy Spirit?" Most of us are more concerned about protecting our own reputation than really being consumed with the fame of His name. Are we willing to step out of the boat in faith, even if we are sometimes wrong, or if we get rejected? What are you willing to risk to learn to hear the Lord? We need to be willing to do anything for God -- even make mistakes. We must make a covenant to be available to however God wants to use us. In my journey of being a weak and broken vessel, I purposed in my heart not to just fall back on The Four Spiritual laws, or other religious tools that we can pull out of our bag of ministry tricks. But rather, I want to be willing to be a fool for Jesus. In the midst of not always knowing why God tells us to do something, we must do what He says simply because we love Him. Do not be afraid to jump off cliffs for God. Another way to spell faith is R-I-S-K! Prayer: Lord, forgive me for putting You in a box! Let your fire come and baptize me with Your Holy Spirit. Burn up all the religion and control. Teach me how to minister to those whose hearts are broken or need physical or emotional healing.
