Good morning, Father! Coming to you this day in the name of Jesus our Lord. Thank you Father for the beauty of your love you give to us. For always being there at a moment's notice. For sitting patiently for us to come unto you with our needs. Oh Father you give so much and at times we tend to ignore your giving of love, mercy, and grace. Father God we just lift up thanksgiving unto you. Father as we rise this morning, prepare for the work ahead, and rush to get everything we will need we come on bended knees asking you to give us your special blessings over us. Protect us as we get in our vehicles and travel to our work place. Father God there are so many this day that are facing trials they cannot bear. We ask Father that you send the angels to surround them and pour out your healing powers over them from the top of their heads to the soles of their feet. Open the doors to those that are in the need to find a job that will assist them in meeting their needs. Father God we know that in your word we learn that we need not owe no man nothing. Father open these doors so your people will be able to pay their debtors and get out of the financial binds they are in. As Spring is approaching we see the new life that is being given in the plants, trees, and the small creatures that went into hibernation for the winter. What a refreshment this is for us to bear witness to. Thank you Father for the renewing of life. Father God there's time we don't understand why we face the trials and tribulations that lay plainly upon our journey here, but we do ask in faith that your will be done in all of them. Help us to see the lessons in all that we learn both from your Word and from the daily things that we do. At this time Father God I would like to place the full armour on each member this morning. When they walk out their doors and face the world they will be protected with your armour upon them. First we shall put on the lion's girth of truth, to help us see and hear the truth in what is before us. As we put on the breastplate of righteousness let us be the example of Christ as He demonstrated how to be righteous in all He did. Let us use righteousness in all that we think and do in the eyes of those around us. We step into your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. For with every step we take let us remain peaceful no matter how rude or ugly others come across our path this day. Next we pick up the shield of faith, the shield that will assist us fighting the fiery darts of the wicked. Placing the helmet of salvation upon our head and the sword of the Spirit in our hand. To help us to always remember where our salvation lays, for it lays in the palm of your mighty hand. Let us use the sword of the Spirit in our ways of communication to those that are yet still lost in this world. Let us recall what your Word tells us in all situations. Lastly, as we face what lays before us let us continue to pray without ceasing, giving you thanks for all that we do and for all that you have given unto us. Thank you Father for your armour that we need to wear upon us daily. Thank you Father God for giving to us freely and with the love that has no end. Thank you Father God for your precious Son, Jesus. Please remember that I do not need your help. If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do not attempt to resolve it. Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. All situations will be resolved, but in My time, not yours. Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now. If you find yourself stuck in traffic; Don't despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege. Should you have a bad day at work; Think of the man who has been out of work for years. Should you despair over a relationship gone bad; Think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return. Should you grieve the passing of another weekend; Think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children. Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance; Think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk. Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror; Think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity. Just some thoughts Been thinking about this for quite awhile now. I wonder how many of us would start walking on the water to go to Jesus. I dont think no one really knows for sure until they've been in that situatuion. Peter as we all know walked on the water which is prob more than a lot of ppl would even attempt to do today, esp ppl that cant even swim ! Well he walked on the water till he got afraid & when he got afraid he took his eyes off of Jesus & onto the prob. Thats when he began to sink ! I like how Jesus IMMEDIATELY stretched forth his hand & caught him. Jesus didnt waste any time at all. He never does. Hes never too late or too early but always right on time ! All we gotta do is call on him ! Hallelujah ! Peter didnt begin to sink till he took his eyes off of Jesus. We need to ALWAYS keep our eyes on Jesus...not looking to the left nor to the right...but straight upon HIM, cuz if we KEEP our eyes on Jesus we wont sink ! Its when we take our eyes off of Jesus is when we start to sink, so lets KEEP our eyes on Jesus ALWAYS & we wont sink amen ! Prov 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it [are] the issues of life. Can u imagine Paul & Silas being thrown into prison, being beaten & then they start singing praises to God at midnight ? Well as u know thats exactly what they did ! A lot of ppl wont even praise the Lord when they've got really nothing to complain about esp compared to other ppl ! Im sure Paul & Silas didnt feel like praising HIM, but they did anyway ! Hallelujah ! Then all the sudden there was a great earthquake...so that the foundations of the prison were shaken ! ptl ! And IMMEDIATELY all the doors were opened & everyone's bands were loosed ! You know the rest of the story. Paul & Silas were set free from Prison ! Hallelujah ! The point im getting to is I dont believe they wouldve been set free from prison at that time if they hadnt have been singing praises to the Lord ! Never stop praising no matter what ! Its the key to victory ! It makes sence y the lord wants us to always praise Him so we r more than conquerors ! Always on top ! You cant keep a GOOD praiser down ! Hallelujah ! God bless u ! GOD HAS A WAY OF TURNING THINGS AROUND FOR YOU. "If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31) Heard a great message not long ago...one that i def needed. My pastor was preaching about how satan has desired to sift us as wheat & he quoted those scriptures. Luke 22:31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired [to have] you, that he may sift [you] as wheat: 22:32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. I really needed that message & then he was very encouraging & told us we r not going under but we r going over...not in those exact words but its what it meant. Guess i remembered the going over & not under words cuz i know the Lord has told me that awhile back when i felt i couldnt go much further. The Lord encouraged me & said "ur not going under , ur going over! And to top it off, i talked to a friend that same day & he told me the same exact words. "Sherry ur not going under, ur going over! Wow talk about confirmation! " God's so good! I love the way my pastor at the end of the service always says " And remember u r somebody special!" Hes an awesome man of God! I like what a friend told me. He said a sure way to be miserable is to look at what we dont have, but being thankful 4 what we do have will bring us more blessings! Life just wouldnt be worth living if we werent thankful. Keep praying and reading the bible everyday. Get in a church where the Spirit of God is really moving cuz where the Spirit of the Lord is there is Liberty! Hallelujah! Pray in the Spirit everyday if u can! Get into HIS presence everyday! Theres nothing like getting into HIS presence! List about 50 things that ur thankful for and put them on paper and thank God for them everyday! It helps! Most important of all if ur not saved. Then get saved! Keep praising! Praising the Lord will get u over ur mountain of fear, lonliness, hurt, suicide & depression! Satan cant stand to be around people praising God nor can he stand to be around praise and worship songs, so plz play praise and worship songs 24/7 if thats what it takes!
