Trust, a small word with a big meaning! A child finds it so easy to trust his parents for they have given him everything he needs to sustain him in life plus they have given him unconditional love and affection. Our level of trust is solely dependent upon our level of intimacy and communion with the Lord. Once we have realized that He has given us everything we need to sustain us, once we have found Him to be the source of unconditional love and affection, then our level of trust will exceed and surpass any doubt or fear in the midst of life's sorrows and disappointments.

Today's Focus in the Word: Trust in the Lord with all thine heart" (Proverbs 3:5)

Let us Pray: "Abba, Father, there are times we find it very hard to trust You as our total source. Draw us close and hold us so we may find comfort and sweet communion with You. It is there that our trust will develop into total confidence in Your ability to care for us even in the midst of life's biggest disappointments. Father, may we long to hunger and thirst after You with desperation. Fill us with the Living Water flowing from the Fountain. We pray that each one of us would be
satisfied with nothing less than our daily portion of Manna from Heaven and the Water of Life that sustains us and strengthens us. To be close to You, that's what we desire, draw us close to You. Fathers and great Giver of every perfect gift, thank You for longing to bless us and pour the riches of Your grace upon us. Please touch our heart to desire Your will and then to boldly ask You to accomplish it to Your glory. Lord, we pray that we would never be satisfied with anything less than that which comes from You. Stir our hearts, Lord, an ignite a fire in us that burns with passion for Your Word, for relationship with You, for worship, for being a vessel You can flow through. Lord, prepare us to be all that You have called us to be and let us be satisfied with nothing less. In Jesus' Name, Amen."

Press in to Him today and begin to see Him as the source of everything you need to sustain you in life, including the love and affection only a Father can give to His children. If you expect people to meet your needs, you will be sorely disappointed, however, if you allow Abba Father to be your All in All, trust in the Lord will not only be easy, but constant.

"In thee, O' Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in Thy righteousness." (Psalm 31:1)
