“Igniting soul’s through the proclamation of Jesus Christ”.

Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith, test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you, unless, of course, you fail the test? And I trust that you will discover that we have not failed the test.

This is an activity for all to enjoy and learn in, write as well as read. We call this "Tuesday Scripture", as you will clearly see why. What we would like everyone to do is to post any verse or portion of the Word from your Bible. Along with the portion of Scripture you may place thought, comment, or question. The post does not need be long or short, can be one verse and simply said, "my favorite". Please do share with us and leave the subject line, or write in “Tuesday Scripture”. For the weekly addition of “Tuesday Scripture” and “Weekend Scripture Share”, I had been composing through the Spirit as I study, verse by verse, or portion by portion, from the Book of 2 Corinthians. I am beginning the final Chapter in the Word, Chapter Thirteen.

2 Cor. 13:5-6, “Examine yourselves, to see whether you are holding to your faith. Test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you? unless indeed you fail to meet the test!” KJV

Paul asks the Corinthians to test self. Examine self to see if faith is the motivator, the focus, intent and purpose behind thoughts and desires. A good way to test whether one is or is not in the faith is to examine actions and reactions. Behavior betrays belief. When an inconsistency is identified between God's word and behavior, take it to the Lord, seek healing and draw closer to Him. All that ask Him for wisdom receive guidance from Him. This is a promise and it always happens when a person sincerely asks, seeks, believes He exists and is willing to receive.

Some tests find the one being tested wanting, most tests are designed to reveal weaknesses and demonstrate strength where it lies. The test reflects progress against a list of goals. It is an opportunity to learn what needs attention, where extra effort is required and what attitudes need to change. The test reveals the attitude of the heart. It is not an end in itself or a statement of worth. It is simply an opportunity to grow in the right direction, toward and ideal, the person and character of the living Savior and Lord Jesus the Christ. So if an "F" sits at the top of the test, put out some effort and bring that grade up with help from Him.

Anyone who may be moved in the spirit to respond or blessed to participate please feel free to do so. The point of these two weekly activities have been directed and set up by God to fellowship in the Word and learn from one another. I am not a teacher, but a Brother in the Family of God and called to His fellowship. I make mistakes and certainly may not see something in the same way as you, therefore always open to corrective criticism so long as it is spoken in the Spirit and conforms with the Bible which I believe to be the Living Word of God.
