Prayer is the privilege we have as children of God to enter into the presence of the living God, even to approach God's throne with boldness. 

As you begin to walk down that glorious path to the throne, the whole room gets quiet.  The angels look at one another and ask, "Who is that person?  How did that person get in here?"  But no one can stop you and you walk right up to that throne, yes, even with boldness. 

As you get there you look up and say, "God, it's me," and He looks down and recognizes you instantly. "O'," He says, "I'm so glad to see you.  I was hoping you'd be here soon." 

"God, I thank You that You've made it possible for me to come right up to Your throne and talk to You," you say.  "It's such a joy and privilege to be here." 

"O'," He replies, "I delight in your fellowship.  I rejoice over you with singing.  Come on up here, sit with Me, let's spend some time together before you get your busy day started." 

And you crawl up into that enormous throne beside your heavenly Father, where you're allowed to spend as much time as you like and talk about whatever is on your mind.  And of course, you can spend time listening to what He has to say to you, that's even more important. 

This is your privilege as a child of God, we call it prayer.  And we sometimes get confused as to how precious and special it is for us to go boldly into the presence of God, and spend time getting to know Him, finding excitement in the knowledge that He cares for us. 

I hope this mind-stretching image I've presented, all based on Scripture, will help you to accept and appreciate who you are in Jesus and how blessed you are to be called a child of God. 

We are the children of God, ask God to show you that incredible truth in new and mind-stretching ways.  And then spend time in His throne room, exercising the marvelous privilege you have of being in His presence.  Someone has written: "prayer is first and foremost an act of love.  It is not conquering God's reluctance, but taking hold of God's willingness."  Thank you and God Bless, and may we bless God.
