"Igniting soul's through the proclamation of Jesus Christ".

Today's Focus in the Word: "Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger?" (Ruth 2:10)

How many times have we asked the same question, "Why have I found grace in thine eyes?" As we look into His holiness, we become so very aware of our unholiness! The closer we grow to Him the more we realize how far we are from what and who He wants for us to be. His desire for us is to be "holy even as He is holy". Yet we live in flesh that is corruptible, flesh that is as filthy rags in light of His righteousness and holiness. Isaiah summed it up well with his reaction to seeing the holiness of God, his words were, "Woe is me for I am undone".

Let us Pray: "Almighty and faithful God, thank You for Your loyalty to Your
covenant promises to Israel. Thank You for not giving up on Your people or Your promises despite the fickleness and unfaithfulness of Your people. Father, we continually question why we have found grace in Your eyes, yet we somehow know that it's because of a love for us that we can't comprehend. All we know is that we are so thankful that You have blessed us with Your grace, we stand in awe of Your unfathomable love! Bless us today as we seek to be a loyal and honorable people, Your true children in a turbulent and treacherous world. May the light of faithfulness that is seen through us beckon others to find stability and hope in Your grace and in Your people. God, we ask that as we open Your Scriptures and hear Your Word preached and taught, that the Holy Spirit penetrate thy heart and convict us of sin, discomfort us in areas where we need growth, and stir us in areas where we need motivation to be more like Jesus, in whose Name we pray. And Amen."

It is necessary for us to realize that we are absolutely nothing without Him for in Him and Him only do we live and move and have our being! Without Him we can do no good thing. Keep pressing into Him as He continues to draw you closer into a relationship that grows more and more intimate as each day passes. He loves you, more than you can ever know! Why does He afford you His grace? He wants to!

God loves loyalty and bestows His blessing and favor when we are loyal to others. In an era where people are thrown away as readily as paper plates and napkins, let's remember that loyalty is a quality that God not only loves, but it is also a quality that He defines for us in Jesus. So let's see loyalty to friends, to family, and to other followers of Jesus as a crucial
commitment.

"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." (Hebrews 4:16)
