As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord ´
“Igniting soul’s through the proclamation of Jesus Christ”.
We know that true righteousness and holiness are qualities possessed perfectly by only God. Amazingly, God uses His Spirit to make those qualities a growing reality in our lives when we will yield to His leadership. If you for just one moment close your eyes and imagine the glorious appearing of our Lord in the clouds, imagine hearing the sound of the trumpet, and in a flash, your "mortality" has put on "immortality" and you find yourself in the presence of the Bridegroom for whom you have been anxiously awaiting, in a split second, in the blink of an eye! How can we describe this event we're anticipating?
Glorious?
Magnificent?
Wonderful?
Focus in the Word: "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words."
(1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)
Let us Pray: “Lord, if there is anything in us that is not pleasing to You, please reveal it to us and cleanse us from all our unrighteousness. Father, we set our gaze upon You, our desire for You is ever-increasing and our love for You grows daily. We await Your return with humble anticipation, knowing that in and of ourself we have no way of being found "worthy", but the shed blood of the Lamb has made it possible for each. Thank You for the blood that cleanses so thoroughly and makes us ready to meet You in the air. Holy and Almighty Father, thank You for raising Jesus from the dead and giving me the assurance of eternal life with You, and with those we love who have already passed from this life into death. We pray Lord, that all who read in here and of Your Word, will be there with us in Your time. We look forward to the day Jesus returns in glory, with the angels of heaven, and brings complete victory over death. O’ Dear Father, may Jesus come soon with grace and glory! May we be found blameless on that day, dear Father, not by our power and effort, but because of Your transforming power at work within us. In Jesus' Name we ask this of Thee. Amen.”
As horrible as the Cross was, it wasn't the final chapter of the Jesus story. Jesus died and then rose again. We can believe two things because of Jesus' resurrection: 1) that Jesus will return in glorious victory for those who have believed in him, and 2) that we will be those we love who have fallen asleep in Christ when Jesus comes again. Ah, but what about those who are not prepared for His coming, to them this event will be filled with terror, fear, uncertainty, trouble.
Where do you stand today? Are you anxious or are you dreading this awesome Day? You can be sure of this, the Bridegroom, Yeshua, Jesus, is anxious to come get His bride and take her to His side to live, to love, to reign, forever. He is ready, are you?
“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” (Luke 21:28)
Let's take an extra five or ten minutes sometime today, open God's Word, and read several passages of Scripture that apply to our specific vulnerabilities. Then, let's ask God's Spirit to transform us in these areas to be more like Christ.
Love in the Lord
