Return to Sender Those that believe in God should also believe that He is the source of all life. For man that means that no matter how a person was conceived, their existence, their very life comes from God. Genesis 2:7 tells us that God ".formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." A few chapters later, God destroyed all living things by a flood and we learn that all died ".in whose nostrils was the breath of life" (Genesis 7:22). This is important to know because the Bible declares that our soul, the part of us that makes our physical bodies alive, returns to the one that gave it. Solomon, full of wisdom, states "Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it" (Eccl. 12:7). Remember the old Elvis song "Return to Sender"? When we die, our soul has a "Return to Sender" stamp and ends up back with the eternal sender, God.
