Today's lesson is entitled "The Right Way To Go".1 It was written by Randy
Kea, preacher for the church of Christ. Randy writes very good lessons that
are filled with scripture and this one is no exception. Take the time to
study and look up the references. No matter what a person believes, they
will have to answer to God one day (2 Corinthians 5:11).

The Right Way To Go

Please consider the following statements of Jesus: "Enter ye in at the
strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to
destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the
gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that
find it" (Matthew 7:13-14). "Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for
many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able" (Luke
13:24).

According to the Lord there are two gates, two ways and two destinies. Let
us note the great lessons that are found in these truths.

1. There are only two possible ways that every accountable person may travel
in life.

2. The way that leads to eternal life is open to all (Matthew 11:28; Rev.
22:17; John 5:40)

3. Most people are going to be lost (Matthew 7:13-14).

4. Many will be lost thinking that they will be saved (Matthew 7:21-23).

5. There is only one "right way" and that way is the "way of Truth" (II
Peter 2:2, 15) and God's word is the Truth (John 17:17).

6. One must "strive" (literally agonize) to enter and stay on the right way
(II Peter 2:15).

7. It is possible to "forsake" the right way (II Peter 2:15).

8. Finally, "There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end
thereof are the ways of death" (Proverbs 16:25).
