That is one of those unclear areas.  One place in the rules says that a
LR may do one or the other.  Another place says that WordRunes can be
recited while you battle.  Common sense says that if you can do it in
real life, you can in hte game.  So, yes, allow the players to recite
while they battle.  But do not allow them to read a WordRune while
fighting, that would be next to impossible.

Right.  Then the character rolls to see if he does resist  the
enchantment.

No,  it will not help to resist the Sin Enchantment. The WordRune must be
recited (or read) before the roll. If the character fails the roll, he
will take the specified MU damage, in this case, his JOy will be damaged.

After he falls under the Sin Enchantment, other LightRaiders may quote
other appropriate WRs or passages from the Sacred Scrolls in order to
attempt to rescue the stricken LR.

Right, start slow until everyone gets the idea, then you can gauge it to
the spiritual maturity of the group.
