We do not determine who is human and who is not. According to biologists, chimpanzees are our closest animal relative, yet we do not classify them as human. Even evolutionists do not do so. Again, the red man and the black man and the yellow man and the brown man and the white man, and any other colors or "races", are all human. Sorry, but Jesus did not die for the chimps. They're cute and lovable, and at times demonstrate far more intellegence than some human beings do, but that doesn't make them human. The US Cavalry was WRONG when they declared "The only good Indian is a dead Indian." The Klan is WRONG when they declare that black people have no souls, and were decended from Eve and an ape. (No, I'm not kidding.) They are human! They have always been human, always will be, and that's not by my choice or yours, it's just true. Perhaps the word "race" is the problem. We say "human race" and then "black race" or "Chinese race", as though those people were not part of the "human race." That concerns me. There is a tendency, I think to try to expand humanity to include those who are not human, or to restrict it and include only those "like us". Humanity is what it is. Christ died for it and no other. To try to include others in it is to make a mockery of what Christ did. If you want to include elvenfolk and dwarves in humanity, I have no problem with that, but everything that moves and is intellegent is not human. I love my Golden retriever, but I do not consider him my equal on the food chain, though my wife occasionally considers him my intellectual equal or superior.:-) I do not mean to sound hardnosed or be a pill about this, and I certainly mean no offense. But we need to get over it. You cannot redeem a dark creature any more than you can redeem my Golden Retriever, for one reason: Christ's (OLMN's) sacrifice did not include them. Like it, don't like it, WHOOMP, there it is. That said, it's a nice day.
