Firstly, God did not break His rules.  That would be incompatible with
His nature.  We, however, did.  He then provided for us because of our
sin and our inability to provide for ourselves adequately.

Secondly, the Scripture is quite plain and specific that death came into
the world as a result of Sin.  It was not part of God's original plan for
us.  We blew it, and God provided a way for us to dwell with Him
eternally _in spite of_ our sin.  

	I see the point about stepping on an amoeba, but still, the Scripture
makes plain that the presence in this world of Death is the direct result
of  the entry into this world of Sin.  And Paul indicates that it was
Adam's sin that did it. (As in Adam all die, so in Christ are all made
alive.)  

And that, my brethren, appears to be the way of it.
