Hi Ron >LightRaider Test - the rope ladder should disappear before any player >decides to keep it. Otherwise, you will have a player like me who >keeps pulling it out to save the day. Yeah. One of my players did. He also acquired a way cool aligator-skin tote to carry it in. >Q#2) Acquiring TeamRunes/WordRunes: How? ONLY through the adventure, or can > they be researched in the Liberated Land (i.e. memorized at any off-game > time from any published WR book or LRH). I don't remember the two books, or > the context, but I believe I read conflicting instructions. They can be read and memorized anytime/anywhere. There are some WordRunes that are given or found during specific Raids, but those are reminders of what you might have learned. Light Raider Handbook (LRH) has very specific directions on when WRs may be used (Page 54-55), but I can find no place in the AMM or LRH that restricts when you can learn one. > Q#3) I haven't looked at the other adventures yet, and I know it might just > be because The LightRaider Test is an introductory adventures, but are all > missions as linear as this one? LRT is fairly linear, but after that, it is hex-grid and go where you want. I have had complaints from playtesting groups about County Faire being non-linear. Sorry. > Q#4) This one might be in the rules and I just overlooked it, but if a > character starts out with the necessary requirements for a role (i.e. > Lionwarrior, etc.), are they allowed to start their characters in those > roles? If not, what is the minimum number of sessions/missions that they > have to complete before they can? The AMM, page 68, "A LightRaider may not take on any of the special roles until he has successfully completed three missions - even if he meets the requirements. Only after he has successfully completed three adventures and has high enough characteristics may he select a role class." Jack
