As for Hunting, what are the non-talking animals there for if not to be used by
the Lightraiders, be it conversing with them to gain information or to supply
them with food. I believe it says somewhere that they are allowed to kill and
eat  non-talking animals, but not ever talking animals as they portray angels
(God's messenger's in bodily form).

As for your particular problem, don't just let them go hunting for food as that
does not promote depending on the Overlord, but rather depending on yourself.
Let them look to the Overlord for food, and how he supplies it is up to him, if
it be a live animal that they can hunt or just supply packs found while they are
travelling or honey found in a lion's carcass (like Samson found).
