I can see nothing wrong with a castle/fort in the LL after the Peaks were 
raised.    First, the level of culture has only reached the middle ages 
(despite that *lamppost* in RSS and the newspaper of MBR).  It only seems 
natural to find castles. Second, perhaps the OverLord ok'd the buildings of 
such structures to symbolize the OverLord's supernatural protection of the 
LL.  (Since it doesn't seem that the TwiceBorn have any weapons that would 
need castle-type protection.)  Though the LL isn't heaven, the same reasoning 
could be used there--why would we need such a large, fortified (1400-1500 
miles cubed, with 216 foot high walls, guarded gates) if nothing evil or 
sinful makes it into eternity?
