I agree scott but it would be dependent on where in the back and what you're
trying to accomplish. It could become very complicated. I think it would
be good to divide the back into neck, thoracic and lumbar and then have
differing levels of paralysis.

How about Back. With this a character or villian may be paralyzed. This
would be a very different effect than hitting the Abdomen (gut wound), or
Chest (pneumothorax). Just my two cents.
