When I play the game, I imagine that when my guys are
reciting scripture in the game that their characters
are actually reciting their own EA version of Holy
Script so that does away with the need for earth
completely. (In my head, I envision an entire
paralell biblical history and poetic books and cities
etc. with dwarves, elves, and humans in place of
Semites, Japhethites, and Hamites for instance.) I
also love the idea of keeping the origin of dark
creatures shrouded in mystery, hinting at it at times
and possibly revealing bits of the truth later in
ongoing adventures. All the planetary stuff and
references to earth ruin the idea of a fantasy world
that is just that: a fantasy world! I think some of
us are trying to explain way too much. Take it for
what it is: FANTASY! Keep earth out of it! That's my
vote.
