I spent the weekend in Kansas City for the Redemption National Tournament. I pre-shipped some DragonRaid games and materials for our display table there. Eric Slick met me at our hotel Friday afternoon, and after a late lunch, we went to the Antioch Bible Baptist Church in Gladstone where the tournament was held. The DragonRaid materials were waiting for us there, so we set up the displays and started having fun. I passed out some free StarLot/Shadow Stone sets to the kids and answered some questions people had. Several adults were quite impressed with the whole idea. We sold quite a few posters and some odds and ends. Eric played reporter for his http://christiangaming.com website, and I got to talk at length with Doug Gray and Rob Anderson of Cactus Games. Both days of the tournament went well, though attendance (60) was a bit less than the expected 100. One family that I talked to had purchased a DR game a while ago, but had packed it away. They never figured out how to play. I went over some of the basics and answered their questions. They are planning on giving it another try. I also met Nathan King, who used to be on the DR discussion list. Nathanial Pearson showed up with some of his Youth Group. We had a good time talking. I had a good few conversations with Eric as well. He gave me a lot of ideas and things to consider for future promotions and expansions of the DR system. Overall, it was a good trip. Joe Revesz
