Kevin,

Sorry to keep an off-subject going, but I would like to talk with you
offline about this "ultimate soundtrack". I too am a big soundtrack fan.
Thanks. Contact me at peter@....

Hey, I'm a HUGE Soundtrack collector. Of course in
recent years I've been forced to let many pass me by
for lack of funds, having four kids and all, but I
love Williams as well, especially his classics!

In fact, since you guys brought up the issue, I just
spent Friday night at my brother's house in Chicago
and the two of us spent over 24 hours, excluding
sleep, working on my brothers computer enhanced cd
burning studio to produce the ULTIMATE soundtrack mix
of both Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back (we ran out
of time to do Return of the Jedi). What I mean by
this is that we took the complete soundtrack of each
movie and organized it in the order of the movie,
completely according to the movie; every jot and
tittle of the music. For those of you who may be
intimately familiar with the soundtracks, even the
newest releases, you may know that they are not
perfectly ordered in this way on the soundtracks. It
was alot of work, but after cutting and splicing and
re-ordering the music (and placing all the extra stuff
in bonus tracks) we then spliced in all the scenes
from the movie itself to fill in the gaps between the
musical tracks to make one seemless soundtrack
alternating between music only to movie clips! And
with my brother's equipment we were able to overlap
tracks seemlessly without interruptions for a complete
soundtrack mix! They are awesome! In fact, we even
included the trailers for the special editions just
for added effect! For anyone who enjoys listening to
the music, but loves outtakes from the movie as well,
these are truly masterpieces! Now mind you, I don't
have as much time on my hands as your all thinking.
This was just a one time deal that my brother and I
have been dreaming of doing for a long time and
finally found some time to make it happen. Of course,
we're still going to have to do Jedi. It just took
much longer than we imagined it would. You'd be
surprised at how out of order the Empire STrikes Back
Special Edition soundtrack is especially.
