I have been following the comments on the NPB - Great Rescue of EdenAgain. I want to make a few references to these statements and make a few comments and ask a few questions of my own. The appearance of the OverLord in human form on EdenAgain is expressed in the word: "Finally, at the time of His good pleasure, the Maker limited the control allowed to the Great Red Dragon by sending His own OverLord for a brief but decisive visit to the planet EdenAgain." The wording is, at least for me, unclear. Did God send someone who is God's OverLord to EdenAgain? Is the OverLord someone different from God? The wording is not very clear. I agree with DeWayne on this. I was confused reading and re-reading it. I wasn't sure if God's OverLord was someone that was higher than him or equal to him or just someone else who saved him (God). Now I know Scripture and understand the need for concise imagery to Scripture. If this is a vital concept then we need to see the wording be less ambigous. The issues of "the diety of Christ, and the "singleness" of the Godhead" are key issues that we need to have concrete. If the OverLord is the "picture" of Jesus Christ the Messiah, then he is connected and equal to God himself. He is a different person of the whole with a different function, but still a part of the whole God. It would also be good to see the OverLord's return evidenced by the TwiceBorn after the establishment of the Mist Barrier and the Peaks of the New Beginnings. There needs to be something to indicate the ressurection of the OverLord. Lightraid@...: Then the cavern in which the Called-Out-Ones are hidden begins to rise into a towering mountain. The text says next: "Recognizing the triumphant presence of their eternal enemy, whom they had presumed destroyed,..." I can see their recognizing His power, or His hand at work, but His PRESENCE? Back to the text: "In this way, the OverLord of Many Names returned from death to establish victory over the evil dragons." How did he return, as a mountain range? The text could be clearer. I think that Joe mentioned something on this earlier this week. I think that seeing the catastrophic events of the supernatural formation of a new mountain range and an effective barrier are evidences of someone's or something's presence. It definitely exhibits power, but if it exhibits his Hand at work then that is evidence of his presence as well. Lightraid@...: Anyone who has not visited it recently should go by the site http://www.newprovidencecog.org/church_016.htm where the author(s) present a History of EdenAgain that includes many of the things I would like to see added to the storyline to help it. (I knew I have seen your name repeatedly in our discussions - but I can't remember it at the second , and I did not see it at the site. Sorry!!) I appreciate the exposure to my website (& church's website), but the text of the Great Rescue was simply the text that Joe sent out a couple of weeks or months ago as a current "unofficial" version. I just simply cut and pasted it to the website software. I appreciate DeWayne's thoroughness in looking through this. I think that some of his comments definitely merit observation for possible re-writing. My responses to other comments will come in another email. Also my own questions will be coming in a seperate email.
