I think that you are confusing worldly wisdom and spiritual wisdom.  The
Mentalist relies on worldly wisdom, not spiritual.  No problem, billions of
people do.  The problem in this game is that this character has power to
resist sin by use of his worldly wisdom.  To be fair, that is true to a
point, man can rationally avoid some sin because of his knowledge of
possible consequences.  But, human nature is fallen, and no one (well, only
One can, and did) can suppress that with worldly wisdom.

You are not using the term "justifying" correctly here.  To be justified in
the sight of God is one thing, to rationalize a course of action, or in this
case, a specific kind of character for a game, is something else entirely.
