Greetings. You know, I never thought of giving them back their lost MU's. I've always just gone by the rules and have had them earn them back normally. But you ask a good question, one that leads to others. If MU's represent spiritual growth, then two questions arise: in reality, how does spiritual growth occur, and second, how do we represent it in a game? If we go with the current DR model, it represents that if you sin, you start to regress in your maturity, and when you realize your sin, you have to grow to get back to the point where you were. However, is this an accurate picture of reality? I know that, by God's grace, a struggle with sin can often lead to more maturity. Not that sin is good, but that when I am pulled out of it, I often find I have learned more. The Bible is clear on what the affects of sin are on a Christian. They start to lose contact with all the spiritual blessings of being in Christ. No longer is prayer meaningfull, fellowship helpful, or reading the Word fullfilling. Their growth atrophies (sp?). Is there a biblical or experiential example of someone sinning and de-maturing? I've know a person who walked away from the Lord, and is living a sinful life. Yet for all his sin, I wouldn't say he's forgotten or unlearned what he learned in being a Chritstian most of his life, but, I'd say he has almost pushed those things aside, buried the Sprit's convictions, and set off on his own. If, by God's grace, he is restored in repentence, I know he'd have to deal with the natural consequences of his sin, but he'd also wouldn't think he'd have to re-learn all he learned before, but that he'd be reminded and restored, and would continue in his growth where he left off. But this is just speculation. Has anyone experienced someone restored? What was the result on their spiritual maturity? The only New Testament passage I can think of dealing with someone falling away is in the letters to the Corinthians. In I Corinthians, the sinful brother is to be cut off from their fellowship so that he may be saved. Then, in II Corinthians, he is to be restored to the fellowship when he is forgiven. These passages don't say anything about his growth, but just that he is restored. If (and this is a big 'If;' I can't claim to know all the ways Grace works), the way God's grace works is that someone who sins does not de-mature, but his growth freezes, then maybe the way we should treat sin enchantmetns is thus: the enchanted LR can't use wordrunes or pray effectively, they can't gain any more MU's, and TeamRunes can't be said by the group. Should thier armor be affected as well? And as for MU's lost, they should be restored when they come to repentence. --- Joe Revesz <jrevesz@...> wrote: > I would like to know how you AMs handle damage from > sin enchantments.
