Read the Bible in a Year This morning read Genesis 33--35 How Jacob Spoke to His Brother Jacob's humility before his brother and his glorification of God touch the heart. And he lifted his eyes and saw the women and children, and said, "Who are these with you?" So he said, "The children whom God has graciously given your servant." (Ge. 33:5, NKJV) To his own brother, who was truly an equal, Jacob refered to himself as his brother's servant. Moreover, Jacob saw his children, and everything in his life, as gracious gifts from God. What do you think will happen if you speak in such terms, or similar ones, to the members of the church where you worship?
