This evening read Matthew 27:27--50 


He Yielded Up His Spirit 


After watching Jesus go through His trials, watching the Romans scourge Him, and seeing the Jews mock Him, we now see Jesus finally die. 

And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. 
(Mt. 27:50 NKJV) 

Amazing! Look at the verse carefully. Jesus died when He was ready to die. He yielded up His spirit because He was in control the whole time, although to everyone looking on, it did not appear to be that way. Sometimes we look at our lives and believe that God is not in control, but He is.
