Read the Bible in a year by reading Luke 7:31--50 today She Knew Jesus and She Knew Herself Who is Jesus? Who are you? There was a woman who knew the answers to both questions. Here is how she answered those questions, And behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at the table in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil, and stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil. (Lk. 7:37, 38 NKJV) Sometimes the best answer is no verbal answer, but an action answer. She knew the holiness of Jesus and she knew her own sinfulness. If someone were to ask you who Jesus is and your relation to Him, how would you answer in works rather than words? Question from today's reading: Why did the Pharisee object to the actions of the woman?
