He Went to Pray

Luke wrote that the servants of Cornelius went to the place where Peter was staying, but look at what Peter was doing while they were traveling, 

The next day, as they went on their journey and drew near the city, Peter went up on the housetop to pray, about the sixth hour (Ac. 10:9). 

The sixth hour was noon. Man, it is time for lunch! He did get hungry a little later, but he went to pray while others made lunch. What is it about prayer that Peter thought he had to do it right then? Are you driven to pray as Peter was? 


Question from the text: Speaking to Peter, who said that he sent the men to Peter?
