Read the Bible in a year by reading Romans 16 today

We Are Greeting Machines
By Don Ruhl

This morning I encouraged you to praise God regularly, because we are praise machines. We are also greeting machines. Romans 16:5 is a sample of what the early church did,

Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Greet my beloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia to Christ (Ro. 16:5).

When you read Romans 16, you will see greetings all over the place. In Matthew 5:43-47 Jesus taught us to greet all people. Third John 14 says to, "Greet the friends by name."

God made us to greet people, especially our brethren in the Lord. Therefore, make a point of doing it. You will bless other people's lives by doing so.

Question from todays reading assignment: What shall we do with those who cause divisions and offenses?
