Read the Bible in a year chronologically by reading Job 11 and 12 today Wisdom Does Not Come From an Empty-Head By Don Ruhl Zophar made a cutting remark to his friend Job, nevertheless, what Zophar said was true. He misapplied it to Job and did not speak with compassion, but he spoke the truth when he said, "For an empty-headed man will be wise, when a wild donkey's colt is born a man" (Jb. 11:12). Zophar meant that Job was empty-headed, although Zophar surely knew that was not true. Yet, it is true that having an empty head will not lead to wisdom, in fact, the day an empty-headed man suddenly is wise is the same day that a wild donkey's colt is born a man. It just isn't going to happen! However, we would all like to become wise, which is one of the reasons that we read and meditate in the Scriptures daily. And that is the very thing that will fill our empty heads so that we may have wisdom.
