Why Does It Use Up the Ground?
By Don Ruhl

Jesus spoke a parable in which a man planted a fig tree that ended up fruitless. Therefore, he told the vineyard keeper to remove the tree. Here is what the man said and why he said it, "Then he said to the keeper of his vineyard, 'Look, for three years I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree and find none. Cut it down; why does it use up the ground?'" (Lk. 13:7). Jesus gave the parable to speak about people.

Am I then using up ground that the Lord could use for someone who is productive?
