Criticizing Leaders
By Don Ruhl

People seem to think it is their right to pick apart leaders, but that can get people into serious trouble. Korah, along with two hundred fifty men of Israel (Num 16.1, 2), rose up against Moses and Aaron and challenged their leadership, "You take too much upon yourselves, for all the congregation is holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them. Why then do you exalt yourselves above the assembly of the LORD?" (v. 3). The problem with what Korah and his friends did, was fail to recognize that Moses and Aaron did not take on their positions themselves. God recruited them and put them in their respective positions. Therefore, rebellion against Moses and his brother was rebellion against God! God took the lives of those rebellious men.

Before you rebel against a leader or before you even criticize one, be sure you are not fighting against God.
