Read the Bible in a Year This morning read Esther 9 and 10 The Opposite Happens Typical it is, that the way we think things are going to happen, the opposite occurs. We expect the worse case scenario, but things turn around. This happened during the days of Esther. 1 Now in the twelfth month, that is, the month of Adar, on the thirteenth day, the time came for the king's command and his decree to be executed. On the day that the enemies of the Jews had hoped to overpower them, the opposite occurred, in that the Jews themselves overpowered those who hated them (Est. 9:1). The Jews expected their enemies to overpower them, unless Esther would intervene, which of course, she did. Sometimes the bad that we expect does happen, but more often, it does not. You know something, we are better off not trying to predict the future, and leave the future to the Lord. Just do the best you can, and know that your life is in His hands.
