Read the Bible in a Year This evening read Acts 18 Correcting Others Apollos was an awesome preacher, speaking accurately on everything he knew. However, he did not know enough. A Christian couple heard him and sought to help him. 26 So he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately (Act. 18:26). Aquila and Priscilla were not interested in tearing down Apollos by finding things wrong with him and then rebuking him sharply, but in him they saw magnificent potential. Therefore, they did not humiliate him publicly, but took him aside and explained some things to him that he did not know. He responded well to this gentle treatment and became a great help to the church. Please look at how you treat others when you believe they are in error. Do you have the methodology of this Christian couple or are you like the Pharisees?
