Read the Bible in a Year
This morning read Psalms 18 and 19

Delight in God, He Delights in You

Psalm 18 is a summary of the relationship between God and David. David began by saying,

1	I will love You, O LORD, my strength.
	(Psa. 18:1).

Of God toward David, the king said,

19	He also brought me out into a broad place;
	He delivered me because He delighted in me.
	(Psa. 18:19).

David loved God. God delighted in David. From every indication in the New Testament, God expects this same relationship with us. If the gift of His Son does not show that God delights in us, then I am not sure what else He could possibly do to show us the good thoughts that He has toward us.

Do you know that God delights in you? Why would He delight in me? I can see why He would delight in the holy angels, or in the majestic mountains, or in the lush green forests of the earth, but not me, who violates His will! Nevertheless, He does. Therefore, I will love Him with all that is in me and with all that I am.
