Read the Bible in a Year This evening read Acts 22 The Gospel Is For All The Jews had been antagonistic toward the preaching of Jesus, but they started to lighten up. In Acts 22, they listened to Paul preach about Jesus, until the apostle said one word. When he said that Jesus sent him to preach among the Gentiles that did it for them and they did not want to hear Paul preach anymore. Watch what happened next. 22 And they listened to him until this word, and then they raised their voices and said, "Away with such a fellow from the earth, for he is not fit to live!" (Act. 22:22). Perhaps they were starting to accept the idea that Jesus was their long-awaited Messiah, but they saw Him as only for themselves and not for the rest of the world. The truth is Jesus is for the world. The question is do we believe it. The Jews in the first century did not. What about you? Do you think your church should only preach to your people?
