For example, forty Jews placed themselves under an oath not to eat until they had killed Paul. To prevent this from happening, here is what the Romans did. 23 And he called for two centurions, saying, "Prepare two hundred soldiers, seventy horsemen, and two hundred spearmen to go to Caesarea at the third hour of the night" (Act. 23:23). Wow! The Jews saw Paul as a threat and the Romans took the plot of the Jews seriously. Does anyone see me as a threat, that if I continue to live a Christian example and to preach the truth of the Scriptures, they will be compelled to eliminate me? How many think this way toward me?
