Read the Bible in a Year
This evening read Acts 25

Accepting Punishment

Frequent, it is that someone acknowledges their wrong, but disagrees with the punishment. Are we in a position to dictate the punishment, if we are in the wrong? Let Paul be our example,

11 "For if I am an offender, or have committed anything deserving of death, I do not object to dying; but if there is nothing in these things of which these men accuse me, no one can deliver me to them. I appeal to Caesar" (Act. 25:11).

Paul was willing to accept the ultimate punishment, if he was truly guilty of wrongdoing. Rather than becoming angry with the government, we should be angry with ourselves for being an offender. Watch your attitude from here on out, and see if your attitude follows Paul.
