Read the Bible in a Year This morning read Psalms 40--42 Heart Failure Oh, the things we do to our bodies that hurt our hearts! Oh, the things that we do to our spirits that hurt our spiritual hearts! Greater is the damage done by the latter. Has your sin overwhelmed you? The psalmist knows your thoughts, for he said, 12 For innumerable evils have surrounded me; My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up; They are more than the hairs of my head; Therefore my heart fails me. (Psa. 40:12). What did the psalmist do about his spiritual heart failure? Meditate on the 40th Psalm and find out.
