Read the Bible in a Year This morning read Psalms 54--56 Freely Sacrifice Some people say that it is not a sacrifice until it hurts. Perhaps there is some truth to that when a person first starts giving, but I have always found that God loves a cheerful giver. Therefore, be delighted to offer gifts to God. Psalm 54:6 says, 6 I will freely sacrifice to You; I will praise Your name, O LORD, for it is good. (Psa. 54:6). Instead of trying to make yourself hurt when you give every first day of the week or at any other time, just give to the Lord from the joy of your heart and see if you start sacrificing freely.
