Read the Bible in a Year This evening read Romans 5 The Relief of Peace with God The reading of Romans 5, especially verse 1, follows perfectly the reading from Psalm 60 that we had this morning. Many people are without God in the world, but they can have their relationship with Him restored. Romans 5:1 shows the route for restoring that fellowship. 1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (Rom. 5:1). Psalm 60:1 showed David praying to God to restore that relationship, but David was already a child of God. What shall the person do who is not a child of God? Romans 5:1 shows the beginning. Peace with God begins with faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The person who has that faith has decided to trust the Lord Jesus to restore that relationship and to keep it restored. Therefore, that person continues with Jesus, which means dying with Him, being buried with Him, and being resurrected with Him, all of which Paul will explain in chapter 6. Have you been baptized?
