Read the Bible in a Year This evening read Romans 10 Zeal and Knowledge It is good to have zeal, but not without knowledge. It is good to have knowledge, but not without zeal. Paul spoke of the Jews, 2 For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge (Rom. 10:2). Having zeal without knowledge proved to be a serious problem for those Jews in the first century, leading them to crucify the Son of God. However, Jesus is not about filling up with knowledge and it not affecting us. His zeal consumed Him, leading Him to die for God. Therefore, get filled up to overflowing with knowledge, but when you discover the greatest knowledge in heaven and on earth, do not suppress the energy that you will feel welling up inside of you.
