Read the Bible in a Year
This evening read Romans 11:1--18

God's View of the Jew and of You

Most of Israel in the first century rejected the good news of their Messiah, so much so that they crucified Him. That rejection continues. Does this mean that God does not want anything to do with Israel? Listen to Paul,

1 I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin (Rom. 11:1).

Israel has been and continues to be rebellious; yet, the heavenly Father continues to hope for the return of His former people. If that is true about them, what about you? Do you think that you have so sinned that God will not receive you? If you go to Him through His Son Jesus Christ, He will receive you.
