Getting the Whole Picture of God 


Please be sure that you do not have a half picture of God. I hear some people who speak of God's severity as though that is the only thing that He is. I hear of other people who speak of God's goodness as though that is the only thing that He is. Guess what, my friends. He is both. 

22 Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off (Rom. 11:22). 

Be sure that you know the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth of who God is. Half the truth, with no desire to get the whole truth, is a lie. Are there things about God that you do not like and so you pretend as though they do not exist? If you want to see the whole picture of God to make sure that you have that whole picture in your mind, look at the life of Christ and read the entire Bible.
