Read the Bible in a Year This morning read Proverbs 1 and 2 Living Life with the Ultimate Skill What do we need to live successfully? We need wisdom. Well then, listen to the way the Book of Proverbs begins, 2 To know wisdom and instruction, To perceive the words of understanding... (Pro. 1:2). The God of life gave us a book that we have named in English, The Book of Proverbs. Why did God use His Holy Spirit to move Solomon to write this Book? He began to tell us in Proverbs 1:2, saying that the words of this Book are for knowing wisdom and instruction, and that we may perceive the words of understanding. Why do we need wisdom, instruction, and understanding? We need them for life. I recommend that you read one chapter of Proverbs everyday, besides this reading schedule that I am providing for you. By the method I present to you at the top of the e-mail devotionals, we will finish reading the Book of Proverbs on September 18. However, read the Book of Proverbs every month. On the first day, read chapter one. On the second day, read chapter two. Watch what happens to your wisdom and watch what happens to your life.
