Church Leaders, We Suffer for the Brethren 


Many men become preachers, elders, teachers, or perhaps lead some good work in the church and they are surprised when people criticize them. I do not know of a leader in the Scriptures who was not persecuted, either by someone outside of God's family or from within God's family. Why do you think you should be exempt from persecution? Paul wrote of himself as a church leader, 

12	So then death is working in us, but life in you (2 Cor. 4:12). 

Why did Paul suffer from all sources? He did it for the life of the church. Yes, you suffer, but remember that there are many, more than you will ever know, who experience a better life because of your ministry.
