Read the Bible in a Year This evening read Second Corinthians 7 The Apostles Had Fears?! Who was more fearless than the apostles and their preaching companions? I know of none in the history of the world. Yet, listen to Paul, one of those "fearless" preachers and apostles, 5 For indeed, when we came to Macedonia, our bodies had no rest, but we were troubled on every side. Outside were conflicts, inside were fears (2 Cor. 7:5). No rest. Troubles on every side. Fears inside. Did Paul write those words? Yes, and the Holy Spirit wanted those words in Scripture that we might know that Paul and his friends had fears. Yet, they overcame those fears. Paul began the next sentence, "Nevertheless God, who comforts the downcast..." Focus on God and He will comfort you, even as He did Paul and look at how the world changed as a result!
