Read the Bible in a Year This evening read Second Corinthians 10 Was Paul a Powerful Speaker? Paul certainly had his critics. One of the criticisms was the following, 10 "For his letters," they say, "are weighty and powerful, but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible" (2 Cor. 10:10). This could have been an unjust criticism. On the other hand, I have known people who were great writers, but poor public speakers, and others who were great public speakers, but poor writers. Whether the criticism was just or unjust, it did not keep Paul from speaking and, therefore, from being a major agent for changing the world! What do people say about you? If it is a just criticism, learn from it and be a better person. If it is unjust, then know that the devil is seeking to silence you. Do not let him be successful, but march on.
